“An outstanding day — more than we ever expected! It felt like exploring with friends who truly love their home.”

The Tour Experience

Your day begins with collection from your accommodation or port. After a short briefing, the adventure unfolds:

Stop 1:

Dune 7— A short 20-minute drive takes you to this massive 130-metre dune. Kick off your shoes, climb to the top, and enjoy panoramic views of the desert and coast, an essential Walvis Bay experience.

Stop 2:

Walvis Bay Salt Refinery — Learn about Africa’s largest solar evaporation plant, producing over 750,000 tons of salt each year. The bright pink ponds and glittering salt mounds make for spectacular photos.

Stop 3:

Pelican Point Peninsula — Travel along a narrow strip between the calm lagoon and the roaring Atlantic. Spot jackals, seabirds, and shipwrecks on the way to the Pelican Point historic Lighthouse (1932) — now home to luxury accommodation.
At the very tip, you’ll be surrounded by wildlife, including hundreds of curious Cape Fur Seals. While you explore, your guide sets up a gourmet picnic with finger snacks, sparkling wine, soft drinks, and dessert — a highlight of the day.

Stop 4:

Walvis Bay Lagoon — End your tour at this world-renowned wetland — home to 70 000 flamingos and thousands of other resident birds. Watch as flocks of pink and white sweep across the water at low tide, the perfect finale to your day.
Return relaxed, fulfilled, and full of incredible photos.
